description:
The artwork above is a selection of my thesis entitled Pique. Pique is the visual representation of the written word through typographic installations. The intention is to inform the viewer about the relationship between medium and form while demonstrating the field of 3D typography and creating a cultural timestamp. From politics and other disciplines, Pique is meant to stimulate the emotions of the viewer and provoke them to start the conversation about the bigger themes at play. The viewer might not know the significance of the quote but can find clarification through the medium. Pique is a collection of installations with real world properties and intentions. Each installation has an intended environment, Though the pieces are exhibited now as a collective unit under the umbrella of Pique, they would stand alone. The placement of each installation is to continue to the spark the conversation amongst viewers, and create shock as to where they are found
