description:
This portrait is drawn in the side profile and face as a symbol of accent a lifting the body to the left. The fingerprints across from the right to the left page covered the whole figure, describes the direction movement of the figure. In this drawing, I discussed my thinking of a new movement and generation coming from multiple cultural merging or identities. The wave motif is one of the traditional Chinese favonian pattern pattern motifs, meaning movement and generation. I also regrouped some contemporary motifs with the repeated waves, such as the Disney character, the silhouette of people from the canal street station in New York subway. I combined these two motifs from different historical period and countries to describe the cultural merging process based on my perspective. I believe it caused a new generation and I named it " The New Wave ".
