Between Pain and Wonderland A Self Divided || A Self Reclaimed The imagination is perhaps the most powerful tool we can access in our daily lives. Its ability to transform the way we see and interact with the world informs and enriches our lives, our selves, and that most intimate and unquantifiable part of usour soul. My work attempts to evoke a point of transition; the moment when curiosity crosses into imagining; the instant when we glimpse something familiar, yet strange, and we are pulled toward itlured to investigate further. This moment of surrender, what in literary terms is called "willing suspension of disbelief," begins a journey into the infinite imagination a realm rich with connotative possibility, endless associations, and unfettered freedoms. Through dichotomies, layers, and juxtapositions; through sensory stimuli, text(ure), and depth, my jewelry-objects beckon. To engage with these necklaces is to step across the threshold that divides the here-and-now from the elsewhere.
