"A salt soaked piece of driftwood whose battered surface, splitting grain, and ocean sculpted profile gave me the ideal starting point for my Relic series. Each piece is a book, readable through layers of tissue paper, markings and colors. Frayed surfaces reveal organic edges that animate each piece with a specific object identity.
