The artist's work discusses themes of solitude and introspection. Taken from her abstract: "Through my work with solitude, I seek to find the emotional core of the human interior. I endeavor to understand that which is elusive to me and the ways in which I am elusive to others. My assembled spaces evoke longing, a desire for knowing and a melancholic contemplation. I am absorbed in reverie of my childhood solitude, asking big questions in a small world. Embracing the form of House, I have constructed my own universe populated with emotive and thought provoking dwellings. These structures express my need for solitude. Within each quiet corner lies a piece of me."
