". . .Ode to Expectations is a collection of dresses hanging in an arrangement of layers occupying a wall space of 5' by 5'. The dress, modeled after my grandmother's wedding dress and affected by eerie feelings I experienced in its presence, is repeated 15 times and sparsely affected by imperfections such as missing pieces and unrefined construction. The dresses are constructed of tulle, a stiff, net-like fabric that refers the viewer to a child's ballet tutu, and they hang in overlapping layers on 12 hooks reminiscent of an attic or closet. . ."
