description:
My work investigates the material realities of our world and its impact on our environment. The production of steel, aluminum, paper, plastic and concrete drive our material lifestyle. The escalating global population and the adverse effects of material production challenges our hopes for sustainability. We are currently losing the battle against global warming. How can the average person affect current trends in consumerism and material production? How can we guarantee future sustainable practices in the production of consumables, housing and automobiles? These questions drive my work. Battling climate change is both controversial and complex, and I desire, through my work, to elicit much needed conversation on this ever pressing and very real topic.
