description:
value in color - dark to light. "In glaze making, when I want to achieve a particular color or value, gradual amounts of ceramic colorants must be added to the base glaze recipe. This kind of glaze investigation is called line-blending. In my piece, the vibrant turquoise blue color progresses from intense to dull, almost fading out, variations between value and intensity can be almost infinite". - Anita Sorensen
